Sunday is Always a Great "Day One"

I'm giving myself a personal challenge this week of blogging every day. This way I can sort of track my motivation changes throughout the week.

Today is going well so far. I had a healthy breakfast and lunch and I have plans to work out at 4:00 at my gym. Foreseeable problems: I have zero plans for upcoming meals or workouts. Here we go.

Sunday dinner: Spark Solution turkey chili with buttered bread (for the family; just chili for me)
Monday breakfast: Return of the smoothie kick
Monday lunch: Salad with boiled egg
Monday dinner: Leftover chili with milk

That's enough for the moment.

Today's workout:
Push-ups
Weightlifting
Cardio machine intervals
Swimming laps

My daughter's dance team practices at my gym from 4:00-6:30 so I will stay there the entire time today. Tomorrow's workout will be a taekwondo class with the family.

Personal note: Hubby and I are not communicating well lately. He's been spending evenings playing video games until after I'm in bed and then accusatorily saying, " I came upstairs at 10:30 and you were already asleep!" Must do a better job of talking to each other this week. I've had my feelings hurt too often lately from a lack of attention. How can I be more proactive?

    funny....I'm on an interesting reset myself and personal challenge, but with getting my walks in before work...I took this morning off to rest the knee after an overactive weekend and I'm kinda bummed I did now that the day has ended...so tomorrow I get back on the routine!

    I get the hubby communication thing - been in the slump from both sides, and it depends on the week/month/activity levels of the family - it's hard. Period. Hang in there and keep doing your best to communicate - sometimes all it takes is playing a simple game of cards together to break the routine rut!

    I enjoyed reading your blog. Great plan for the week!

    Husbands are interesting creatures. Maybe plan a date for the week where you can do something fun together as well as talk about some changes you can both make to make at least a few nights a week include some together time. My husband passed away and I really miss time with him...don't let hurt feelings fester, it causes too many missed moments of attention for both of you.
