We got home after dark, about 8:30. The power had been on in our home 19 minutes when we got here. We unloaded our truck. Hubby emptied the water and floating ice in the freezer. We have lost all in the fridge and freezer. We will have to load it all in the garbage container Sunday night for pick up Monday. I guess we will be eating from the pantry. I have some dried beans. I think I will make a pot tomorrow. I will not go to the grocery until we can unload the fridge and freezer and clean. This and two fence panels down. A small price compared to so many around here. We live on the highest knoll in our city and do not have any large trees next to our house.

Hubby and I feel blessed. We gave thanks for watching over us. We were out of the state due to the storm.. Some of our friends came over and took pictures of our house. I received a text with no subject, opened it and saw our house intact. I was crying when I saw this. Took so ugh pressure off of us in waiting and driving up to see the results of the storm on us.

Funny when we got here Coco ran in to check her beds in each room and to make sure her food and water dish were there. The water and food dish were in the truck. When Hubby brought it in and put it where it belongs she sighed and laid down beside it

We have friends scattered all over Florida and like youm had minimum damage. But then, we don't know anybody down in the Keys where 90% of the homes are a total loss.
