The Value of Preparation

Yesterday I was all set to meet my goals - good breakfast, good lunch, and great plans for dinner. But alas, too late I realized when I got home at 7 pm that I had no brown rice to go with the curry…. And allowed my dear husband to talk me into going out instead. Yes, it was fun, and yes I adjusted my plan and in a pretty healthy way, protein and veg. That would have all been fine, but he had to order a piece of cake. He, who never craves sugar or chocolate (my weakness). At that point, my resolve broke down. Easy to do at the end of a long hard day. But I only had a few bites, and I got back on track. Better prep next time!

I need to start doing yoga regularly again. Between kid concerns and work my stress level is through the roof, and I while all exercise helps with stress, yoga really gets to the mind-body connection better than anything else.
