DIA Method - Week 2, Phase 1, Day 2

emoticon ABOUT ME
I got up at 6 am today to get my oldest ready for school and on the bus. Kindergartners always started a day later than the older kids, so I let the younger one sleep. I had not remembered seeing anything on the school calendar about them starting tomorrow, so I called the school to double check. Sure enough they changed it this year and I had to get him up and off to school. An unexpected surprise for me today, home alone with lots to do. I slept horribly last night so I decided to take a little down time after I got them on the bus and watch a program on Hulu.

emoticon FOOD/NUTRITION
I had a good breakfast and stuck to the plan, sausages and an apple. I have also not been eating my usual sweets, so I treated myself to a couple pieces of dark chocolate, part of the plan as long as it is more than 70% cocoa. Mine also had some espresso beans in it so it is helping me to wake up.

emoticon CORE COMPRESSIONS
I have been very good about doing the core compressions. I have been doing them in TWO 5 minute sessions and it is getting easier. I think by the end of the week I will try one 10 minute session. These are also something that I am to do throughout the day. At least I need to be mindful of holding in my abs as much as possible.

emoticon EXERCISE
I have not yet done my exercise for today, but I will get it done before the boys come home. I should be getting the DVD's either by mail or UPS/Fed-Ex. If they are not here by lunch time I will just use the computer. Workout for today is "Mama's First Steps".
UPDATE - I didn't get the DVD set until 3pm when the mail came, so I did the workout with the internet/computer. It went well. I wasn't sure how well I would keep up as I am so out of shape. I managed rather well and only needed to lighten the load of weights during one part of the exercise and I really appreciated her approach. It made me feel ok about not keeping up and working at my own pace through her workout.

emoticon PROGRESS
So today was weigh-in/measurement day for me. Week 1 is complete and I want to track my progress weekly, but will only take photos every 3 weeks. I am not expecting much change to have happened in the last week as is it was a week of gearing up for the full program.


emoticon RECAP
SO...you can see I have dropped 1 pound and 1.5 inches off my waist, plus my Diastisis Recti has improved in the mid region by .5 and in low region by .25. Amazing to say the least, especially since I was not expecting much at all, if anything.
