New Journey

In the last two weeks my life has dramatically changed. My daughter moved into her new house, I started my tenth year in my school district, ended my 10th year in that district by getting a new job, started my new job (no longer in a classroom), and started my doctoral program. That is a lot of change! I normally do not do well with change and I would be lying if I didn't admit I was nervous about falling into old, bad habits. Food was often my comfort. It is easy to find solace in something crunchy and salty. And that is always my struggle. I am hopeful that I will not revert to food again. Wish me luck!

    Knowledge is half the battle. Be sure to have some healthy snacks to substitute for your old bad ones. Fruit is great. Also don't forget to stay hydrated. Don't forget a nicely flavored tea will do the trick also. Congratulations on all the new changes in your life, it's very exciting! Also here's something to remember when something new seems daunting. A few months from now it will be "old hat". You got this!
