Gratitude Entry (8/26)

Saturday, August 26, 2017

Today, I was able to go to a local BBQ English Event and meet new Japanese friends! Here are a few things that I've really thought about as such a blessing: 1. Before the BBQ, I indulged in some interval training. I did some walking, then jogged .15 of a mile, did some walking, then jogged .15, did some more walking, jogged my last .15, then finished with walking and stretching. Just two days prior I only ran .10 of a mile. I'm working on a plan to keep increasing this bit by bit so I can eventually run a mile straight through! This was a huge non-scale victory this week and I was so thankful to Jesus for this after being slightly frustrated towards no results in the scale. 2. I am so thankful for friends where I am at in Japan. I know just a bit of Japanese, but cannot fully speak sentences. So when friends are super excited about learning English and I can help them grow (and I can too) it really helps the transition to live in Japan easier. Just yesterday, my Japanese friend drove me somewhere, then also took me to her grandparent's home to give me fruits and veggies. It was the sweetest thing! I'm so thankful for her friendship, not because of what she can give, but for her being her and I can love her back! 3. More recently in my walk with our Father, He has been digging deep to pull up roots that use to cause serious damage in how I view myself, others, and even Him. I use to be extremely self critical. I had no self-esteem at all, but slowly He is the building this area of my life, He is showing me in His Word the truth that I am a righteous daughter set aside for His kingdom. I know through this He will and is growing me to help love other daughters well through Christ's love! These are just a few of the things I was really overwhelmingly thankful for yesterday! ❤️ I hope you are blessed through my journey with our Father! Your Sister in Christ, Tiffany
