Chapter 26, Day 56

Kayaking was fun. We had an over an hour of kayaking time. I learned many new things about it. And I learned I sure need to work on my strength with my core, and especially my arm strength to more easily get out of the boat from the dock.
While kayaking was a great experience for me, my sis did not fare so well, though she was a very, very good sport about it. She tensed up while on the water; her feet and hands went numb, and she had great difficulty getting out of the boat. She proclaimed it is her last kayaking experience. To my fault, I should have gone with my original plan of a tandem (2 person boat) for us, so that she would have been less nervous, and let me do the paddling work when she tired (she wanted her own boat; she thought kayaking looked easy).Too late for a lesson learned.
All in all, our day was fun. Part of my gift by my two sisters was a gift card for my sneakers that fit my new orthotic that was ready for pick up. With a new pair of sneakers in hand with customized orthotic.....what a huge difference! I feel I could actually do some walking for fitness now but I won't for the time being because I was told I should not until the foot heals.
Food wise, I had a misstep by buying a couple of treats for the movies. While I didn't exceed my daily calorie range, I am disappointed that I had that weak moment and let one of my bad habits creep back in my day and ate junk.
