I'm starting to get the lay of the land at work, and I'm shadowing other developers on my team. I'm still in disbelief that I got this job (so grateful!). My car is great and I love it! I made a rule that I will not eat food in it and I've been doing well with that. That brings me to my final challenge: emotional eating. It's funny I didn't really pay attention to just how much I was eating til I put myself on a strict food budget and now I realize it was SO expensive to overeat so much. All of that fast food and delivery really adds up. Action: I've been going to the gym after work! It feels great and even though I'm tired and sore and cranky when I get there, I always feel better after a workout. Action2: stopped buying frozen dinners and junky snack foods. As part of my food budget I've been ordering my groceries online for pickup ( so I'm not tempted by things in the store). I've got a cart full of fruits, veggies, chicken breast, turkey breast, yogurt, eggs, oats, gluten free bread, and almond milk. I'm going to make teriyaki stir fry with jasmine rice, and freeze some in small containers for work lunches. I'm going to make curry and rice for dinner. I might even just roast some chicken breasts with buffalo sauce and eat them with frozen veggies. Weight: no change this week, but with the changes in implementing I do think I will have one next week! Goals: my vacation in December was approved and I want to lose as much as possible by then so I fit in the plane seat (gosh I hate flying!). I'll be in Buenos Aires for Christmas, and it will be summer there 😎 I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!
