A Peach Transplanted in Florida
Tuesday, August 15, 2017
I'm a Georgia Peach transplanted in Florida.
My goals are to be as healthy as I can at my age. I've been retired for a few years now. My job kept me moving for 12 hours daily, so naturally after retirement I slowed down to almost stopping. I wasn't feeling so fantastic about me after retirement. While in Georgia, to go for a daily walk meant traveling several miles for a walk (Chickamauga Battlefield was my go to for a peaceful walk). So after moving to Florida, I am thrilled that I can just walk out my door and walk for miles. Of course this makes it easier for me to jump up (well maybe not 'jump') and get out the door early. Plus being close to the beach
if I feel the urge for sand between my toes then all I have to do is travel about 7 miles.
I'm loving Florida more each day, but Georgia will always be in my heart. I'm not near my friends and family now, but I have new Spark friends that are becoming like family.
Since I have found SparkPeople I am learning new ways to better my health in many ways
