Have you seen "Carb-Loaded"?!!

Friday, August 11, 2017

Would you tend to think that THIN people can't get diabetes in the USA?? Think again!! And if you haven't seen it yet, you might want to see - and share- "CARB-LOADED: A Culture Dying to Eat" (2014). It's a *really* entertaining and informative (and pretty sobering) FOOD documentary by Lathe Poland and Eric Carlsen. Watch it FREE on youtube, or "chip-in" and choose to pay to rent or buy it. Available on iTunes, Amazon (DVD), etc. And I think they are @carbloaded on Twitter. When you watch it, please give your feedback in the comment section, below!

I did watch all of this and took notes. Thanks for sharing. It was very long but it makes sense.
It makes it all so easy and destroys a lot of food myths. Thanks again for a very sensible blog link.

i think this is a backlash from all of the extreme diets out there. People eat carbs, they don't eat carbs. Carbs dont make you get diabetes. Period. Low carb and high fat diets dont cure all. Period. They aren't natural. Or healthy. You can lose all kinds of weight but I doubt you will keep it off on a low carb diet. Carbs are not food. Carbs are whats IN food. Most foods have carbs. Most food is not pure fat and pure animal flesh. A better way of looking at it is refined carbs vs unrefined carbs. Low glycemic carbs have alot less sugar which causes diabetes.

Our friends have a son who looks anorexic, but is diabetic. Both parents were overweight (husband had bariatric surgery and slimmed down).
Thanks for the link to the movie. emoticon
