The Travel Case!

Here are the pictures:
As I had mentioned in my previous blog, I'm always looking for these type of travel cases at yard sales. All it takes is a medium sized jar of Mod Podge, a disposable foam brush, and less than a half yard of calico/scatter print fabric to transform a bland travel case into something that is unusual!
The first picture is the front, the second one is to the side and you can see the width of blue binding that I added to that narrow space. The third picture is the top, and you can see that it was a Samsonite. I also like to work with American Tourister travel cases. The forth picture is the bottom of the case. The little feet are shot all to bits, but I kept them on anyway. The last picture shows what the inside looks like with the tray in place!
I cut the fabric into 1" to 1 1/2" squares. This is important because you don't really work in a linear way. You sort of patch it, overlapping, and using a lot of mod podge to do this. I let it dry overnight, and then I put another top coat of mod podge on top of it to seal it further. It'll be fine as long as it doesn't come into contact with water! Mod Podge is water soluble!! lol
I hope you've enjoyed looking at my latest project!
