"My Sweat Life"

Preparation:

Blister socks? Check.

New Balance walking shoes? On

Cell phone with Runkeeper app ready to roll? Check.

Ipod with my fitness playlist and earbuds? Check. Check. Check.

Head to Falls Township Community Park, planning my workout in my head.

Feeling: Dedicated, Committed, Ready

Get out of the car.

Earbuds in, Music pulsing.

Start Runkeeper.

Go, Go, GO!!!!!

Walking.

Start at an easy pace.

Should I try to jog?

Go for longer distance or faster speed?

Been pushing pretty hard this past week.

Need to pace myself.

Every workout can't be my hardest.

Have to allow my body to recoup.

Faster music.

Faster walking.

I find my rhythm.

Sweating.

Able to walk at a faster pace for a longer period of time than I used to.

Getting motivated.

Feeling strong.

Getting time/distance updates from Runkeeper.

Amazed at my speed!

I'm POWER WALKING!

My arms are pumping and I feel my heart and lungs respond in kind!

I have great endurance!

I am inspired!

Moving, Moving, MOVING!

My quads feel strong and powerful!

My breathing is even and steady!

I realize I am competing against myself and the clock!

I didn't plan to, but I start to jog a bit.

Drop back to walking for a few minutes.

Jog a bit more.

I feel the sweat on my hands, arms, neck, chest, and legs.

My hair is wet.

My clothes are soaked.

Sweat is rolling down my face and dripping from my brow.

I'm beginning to tire but I still have almost a half a mile to go.

I am determined!

I keep going!

Pushing, pushing, pushing my way to the end!

My workout: 3.68 miles in 60 minutes.

That's 16:23 minutes per mile.

Outstanding workout!

I feel transformed!

I have released my "inner athlete"!
