Chapter 26, Day 25
Monday, July 24, 2017
These next few days will be quiet time. By Thursday, the busyness will start when my BIL and wife arrive to town and will be our houseguests through the weekend; they are in town for my niece's wedding. It will be a fun time for MIL, with all her children by her side.
I had to go out shopping for a dress for the wedding. I found 2 that I liked and will choose one and return the other. What an ordeal so much trying of dresses was. It was very taxiing on my foot to be on it for such a long time, and with so much walking. I'm sure I set myself back some from it.
I had some extra time last night and took MIL out for a visit to the Niagara River. It's very pretty along the shore. Now 94, her life has become a litany of the same complaints. For as long as I have known her, she never learned to enjoy her own company. She feels sad and lonely most of the time. Her outing lifted her spirits; I was glad I took the time to do that.
Today I really must go for my orthotics fitting....I just couldn't fit it in on last Saturday. Other than that, it will be a client work half day.
Enjoying the quiet of this morning.
