My Oh My! An Off Day!

Today I confess that I really needed a complete off day. I made my goal to walk 3+ miles 7 days a week. I've done this for several weeks now, today July 23, 2017 I woke up and told 'self', you really need some down this was my Off Day.
I fixed oatmeal for breakfast...thru in a load of laundry...I Sparked and planned all my daily meals...took a nice long hot bath and put on my favorite "day j's". (PJ's are for night emoticon ). It has rained most of the day emoticon and that made it a great day to rest and read emoticon . Oh and of course checkout SparkPeople to see what was happening with all my Spark Friends. Now it's time for some Nascar Racing emoticon which calls for more relaxing (sort of).

    Rest is very important to fitness! It's during rest that your muscles repair themselves and get stronger. My personal trainer told me this years ago and said even if I was feeling excited and like working out, to resist the urge and take that planned rest day. I told him not to worry because I rest very well. Ha ha! Have a wonderful Sunday!!!

    Your body does need downtime. I make it to gym 5 days a week. I work in gardening and other chores around house. That works. I have a trainer 2 of those weeks for circuit weight training and he's encouraged the rest.
