I keep seeing blogs about having a partner to keep me accountable - but do not really have anyone in my life that I feel I can do this with.
Then a call from my youngest son. He lives in Seattle area - going to school full time and working tull time. He walks a lot - and has a club membership where he works out As we were talking, I mentioned that i had renewed my membership at the local club and want to go at least 3 times a week to start. He is the only one I have shared this with - and as we were talking, I realized he is one I could share my ups and downs with, and he would encourage me. And help me stay on track.
I went to the club last Friday and did 15 minutes on the treadmill - so am off to a good start. To begin, have scheduled Mon, Wed, and Fri. Somehow, that does not seem like much - but i want to have a schedule I know I can keep. If I try to do more to begin, will just get discouraged and probably just give up - as I have in the past.
I do have BP issues and some swelling in my legs. And it is time to take charge and get these under control.
I so appreciate all the encouragement and support I have had here on SparkPeople - made some awesome friends who share their stories that are always so inspiring.
