Okay, so I am now back down to that lower number with a .4 added onto it.
My plan is to concentrate on staying within the calorie limits until I have reached the lower whole number with a .0 attached - and then to stay there.
Hold that number on the scale! will be my mantra for the next two weeks as my three grandkids arrive here at the beach, soon followed by my two sons and their wives.
That translates to: three meals a day, every day, with lots of snacks and drinks all around for nine people, plus loads of sunscreen, bedtimes stories, 3 kids in the bed with Grandma and Grandpa in the morning for normally forbidden cartoon tv shows, bathtime with all 3 kids together, arts and crafts, boogie boards, jigsaw puzzles, kites, jumping waves, getting dunked, wading pool on the porch, legos, rainy day indoor playtime, the amusement park rides, and the water park slides, and lots of bedtime stories, usually to be followed by giggles and 'poop' words.
Throughout it all I am the official family photographer, following everyone around with my camera, capturing all these wonderful moments and collecting them in our fourth annual book of summertime vacation photos -- showing the three cousins together with their parents and grandparents at the beach.
So I plan to hold, hold, hold, that scale right where it is during all of that for the next two weeks. My strategy is to say NO to myself several times, and to say JUST A LITTLE many more times than that. Plus, I will get lots of sleep.
Plus I will have fun, fun, fun, with my grandkids!
It all begins tomorrow...
