Trying. Not so easy...

Thursday, July 13, 2017

Still really busy. Still trying to take care of myself in as many ways possible. Eating more salads for lunch. Watching sugar intake. Easier since they've added sugar tracking now. Not really eating quite as much fruit as I had been. Not sure what to believe with all the hubbub about watching the kinds of fruit you eat. Bananas? Really?! And some of the veggies too?
Would figure that it's foods that I like.
Still trying to do as much exercise/movement as possible every day. Today was a good day for that. Made 10,000 steps easily. Hoping tomorrow is just as good.
Really need to talk myself into more ab exercise, more leg exercise. Even if it's just 10 minutes worth, twice a day. Sparkguy's ideas. Just need to put it into practice myself.

I am so sick of the hype, one day something is good for you, the next you must avoid it. Common sense tells me that fruits and veges are good for me. Simple. I do need to do a little experimenting about ones that contribute to inflammation but right now, I need to eliminate the obvious. Will move forward from there.

Life can be challenging sometimes and I turn to comfort foods.....ugh....

I posted a blog a couple days ago about my sugar addiction. Sure isn't easy to stay away from them. I'm sure 1 banana is ok maybe every other day. I love oranges and grapefruits! Keep going....just stay focused best you can each day! ❤

Do you enter the foods you eat manually? Much better if you do,of course. But the sugar in fruits & veggies are naturally occuring, if that makes you feel better emoticon I know bananas & corn are REALLy bad. But, like someone else said, it's not candy & chips! emoticon

    Good job on the steps!

Yeah. The work I've done with the nutritionist over the last 18 months has proved to be quite interesting. Many foods that I used to routinely eat were causing inflammation in my body. I'm undergoing another 6-week elimination test right now and it appears that corn and the nightshades were also causing issues for me. Pretty shocking, actually. But, the proof is in the results. Mentally? I was highly skeptical; but, willing to give it a try because I was sick and tired of the pain and health challenges. And, the good news is that the changes are helping me improve my health. I feel so much better!

Best wishes to you, lady! I know you have many demands being placed on you. emoticon

Fruits and veggies HAVE to be better for the body than candy and chips. Tomorrow it will be something else Ugh! Hang in there.
