Still here....

My husband asks me every night - what are you doing as I enter my food, exercise and fluid intake for the day. i respond the same way. I am entering my food, exercise and fluid intake for the day. He asks the same question - "Is it working?". I respond the same way "yes".

And then the worst thing happened for me, the wifi was not available for a few days...oh that was not a good thing. Then it came back - "whew" and then Saturday it was not available.

Now, you say it is not a big thing - stuff like this happens. What people don't know about me is that I never really follow through on something for long periods of time. With SPARK I have.

What Have I learned about myself?

Persistence - even when i didn't lose weight, or lost weight, and now gained weight - i continue. Even though my streaks of 260 plus days disappeared, I came back. I am really proud of that. We should remember we are much stronger than we think we are so those ups and downs...you can push through them...even when you lose those streaks. lol. Ask yourself how important this is for you. I can say remaining healthy at 47 y.o. is very important to me.

Self love - I cannot stress this enough. Without this, persistence, weight loss success, all that we do, won't stick. I say this because most times we look for affirmation outside of us as we embark on our journey. Our goals are amazing, our focus is there and then....the scale doesn't move, you don't get the compliments, no one noticed. We then find our exercise regime gets harder, we question our food choices, that internal voice starts tearing us down slowly. Love yourself and acknowledge yourself as someone worthy of this. I find that even if no one acknowledges in your family, or friends or colleagues...it doesn't matter, you know better. You are loving yourself by taking care of yourself. It has taken me a very long time to really get it. I did by persisting and really being open to all that I am feeling. Also, by getting help. We can't do this alone :). SPARK works for this reason. We listen since we are not seeing :) it all. So awesome! Thank you.

I did gain weight but I am working to get it off again. I am good with this. i know what I need to do, what I want to do. I will be here more often now on SPARK, making my friends and my goals a priority.
