Still Sparkin' & Maintaining!!

Maintaining weight...a little higher than I want but it's been sustainable...between 215-220. All time low was 207. Was hoping for 210 as a maintaining weight, but I'm okay with this.

Been so darned BUSY though! Many changes at work as I claw my way toward retirement by end of October next year. Tara and I continue to grow our relationship and are heading out for a two week foray into the Mid-West...Chicago, Detroit, and my hometown area around Lake Michigan (ah to immerse myself back into my childhood Lake of Dreams!) as we introduce each other to our respective families. Leaving tomorrow...I'm beset by vacation prep frenzies!

I still take time for my bike rides with the club...beautiful journey 'round NYC's Cannonsville reservoir in the upper Catskills a couple weeks ago and last weekend some Woo-Hoo downhills & slogging climbs 'round Skaneateles Lake...one of the Finger Lakes. Early June had a great weekend at our annual Great Finger Lakes Bicycle Tour looping from Watkins Glen over to Ithaca (gorgeous Farmer's Market there!) and back...followed by good times 'round the campfire with my guitar and other musicians (flute, sax and two more guitars) all pulling together impromptu jams.

Life is so, so WONDERFUL!

My greatest key to maintaining are all my crazy (but highly effective!) food rules: still not a speck of sugar or processed carb in my household and oh-so-rarely crossing my lips! No portion control needed, just following Michael Pollan's basic food rule:

Eat Food (by that he means REAL FOOD, not processed stuff your grandmother wouldn't recognize!)

Mostly Plants

Not Too Much!
