Sunday Message from the farm.

Sunday, and I am bored, got chores done, and it is to windy to go with hubby to the other farm so he can spray fence lines, so he I sit. My only mission I want to do this morning is to make some Iced Coffee, so I can enjoy it later. This morning the sweatshirt really felt good but it suppose to really warm up, so that coffee will really taste good. Will use the orginal and then maybe add some caramel flavoring to it. How does that sound for an afternoon break.
I really need to call Shane, S1, and tell him about the garden. He is the one that spend over an hour roto-tilling my little 16X16 garden. I debated this year about having a garden cause last year it got so weedy, and son said he would take care of that, and he work that soil and work that soil until I thought the first time it rained it would be a concrete parking lot, and he said no, not unless it rain before that top layer dries out, and it is fabulous. I don't even have 1 volunteer tomato plant, and those viney ground cover weeds are gone. I can't believe it, every morning I check and if by chance one does pop out I get it right away, and I keep using my aerator hoe, and I have never had such a good looking garden. Even Larry thinks it looks great, except for the Sunflower seeds I planted, they are the Mammoth ones and should get up to more than 12 feet tall. He says they are weeds, and that is one of the things he sprays for. lol
Well, I must get out there and get that coffee brewing, hubby just came in and said he want dinner(lunch) at 11 so he can get his nap in and then maybe the wind will have calmed down and we can go over and spray. I have to go alone, with a good book, cause I have to help him help him get the ramps in place to get the tractor off the car trailer. He doesn't have the strength yet to move those heavy things, so walla I have to do it. He will spray and I will sit in the pick up or in a lawn chair, if I remember to toss one in, and read, or maybe get a nice long walk in. He says it should take a couple hours. Then have to get that tractor back on the trailer and go home.
So you remember to take some ME TIME today. Linda
