NSVOTD (Non-scale Victory of the Day)

So about a week ago, I began the 14-day trial period with The Peloton spinning app. Now granted, I have a bad knee so I have been using the app with a recumbent bike but still challenging myself using a variety of moderate to difficult rides ranging from 30-75 minutes, sometimes with arm/upper body work. All of the rides include different levels of intervals/hills. What I have noticed over the last week is how toned my legs have gotten, how my aerobic fitness has improved and how much better my clothes have been fitting. Mind you, I have not weighed in lately.

Today, I was in the middle of a 45-minute low impact ride when it hit me during the second to last song which just so happened to be "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic" by The Police--I am actually getting fit. And I lost it--just started sobbing tears of joy right there in my gym. I was in the anytime portion so I was alone but still...I allowed myself to fully experience the significance of that realization. It won't always feel as effortless as today but I have done more difficult rides--75 minutes is nooo joke. My wish for all of you is that if you haven't yet, may you find your own groove--whatever that looks like.
