Frustration

Monday, June 19, 2017

I am doing okay just frustrated with my blood sugars lately. I have joined a gym and am doing weight training twice a week and yoga once a week. It seems like my morning sugar readings don't like me at all. I have cut back my snacking at night, but I can't eat fruit! I just want an apple sometimes. I don't keep chips or any snack food in the house because I know those are triggers for me. I will be seeing my doc the end of the month and I will have her set me up with a dietitian to make sure I am getting the nutrition I need and find out the calorie range that I need to work with. Carbs are hard for me so I will talk about that as well. I love returning to the gym and being in a group again. I am crocheting to keep my hands busy. I will see what happens at the end of the month.

I'm sorry you're frustrated. It sounds like you are doing the right things. It's great that you'll be meeting with your doctor soon & I think a dietician is a great idea. Keep at it and I'm sure with their help it'll all work out. emoticon

I would keep at it the gym is NOT the problem!!!! I know someone who is type 2 and her blood sugar goes up when she is stressed or ill. Actually up here there was a story on CBC television about type 2 not needing to test for it.

Although I don't have blood sugar issues, I do understand being frustrated when you feel like you're doing your best. Hopefully the dietician will have some tips for you to help with the morning test. The gym will help. Love the crocheting to keep your hands busy.

Glad you are getting back to the gym, that consistency should help. Also I think meeting with a dietician is a great idea. I wish I had met with her e when I was diagnosed as prediabetic last year, it would have made it easier to get proper nutrition. Let us know how you are doing. emoticon

I understand your frustration..truly I do.Keep up with the gym. I'm going to talk to the trainers at the Wellness Center tomorrow and see what yoga classes I can take. I haven't been there in at least 6 months if not more. Time to get serious about my physical state as well. We'll encourage one another! emoticon

I had lots of trouble with my morning blood glucose. No matter what i did it would be too high in the mornings. Switching to Farxiga and Bydureon made all the difference. My a1c was 5 last time, and I've stopped taking insulin and Janumet. Pounds have melted away with Exercise. Ask your doctor about switching to Farxiga and Bydureon.
