Been loitering and tracking on Sparks for the past few weeks, trying to catch up with everything from work and home.
No guarantees that I'll be around much yet, but wanted to let you all know that I've been keeping as active as possible every week.
Still working a lot of overtime. When it's not really hot and humid out, I get out for a walk at lunch. Trying to walk for at least 30 minutes in the mornings also.
Started a program last month called "My Peak Challenge" that Sam Heughan began a few years ago. Sam is the Star on Outlander. He's part of just about every video of exercises, along with his own personal trainer. The videos show modified ways for exercise for each movement also, which is what I'm using. Plus nutrition ideas and recipes.
I'm not promoting this program. I just needed to find something with a bit more motivation.
To tell the truth, I began the program the middle of May and am still on week 1. But it's a program I can access offline, when I have a bit of time. I've lost 3 lbs however, so I'm going to keep with it.
Yesterday, my grandson and I met with Kansas City area MPC members for a hike on a local trail. Unfortunately, we couldn't find where the trail head was so missed out on the hike. That doesn't mean that we didn't keep ourselves busy though. We did a lot of walking in town, window shopping and having a great time just being together.
He took it upon himself to get me out walking this morning to help me out again today.
He's 10 years old.
And yes, I'm still studying for this stupid test. Should be studying right now. Keep falling asleep in front of my computer, however. Not a good day for it today.
As for recent workouts:
Yesterday, at least 3 hours of walking with my grandson. (My feet definitely hurt when we got home.)
Today: a 45 minute brisk walk with grandson again. Then just finished a 45 minute MPC workout of body weight exercise. If grandson gets his way, when he gets home, we'll be taking another good walk before dark.
Happy Father's Day to all you fathers out there! Have a good rest of your Sunday and a Great week ahead!!
