Saturday morning chatter

Great news, it is the week-end. But not any difference here, still have to do most of the daily jobs. We did get a trace of rain last night, many storm around us, even a couple of tornadoes, but by the time it got to us it had fizzled out and I think we get 2 drops in the rain gauge. And just got another little shower just a few minutes ago. So that means we can't work on those big branches out on the lawn, but we are both tired, so it is our day off. Even though I slept 91/2 hours last night I could really fall asleep writing this, so if you see a pause here you will know I couldn't get those peepers to open.
It was a good day yesterday, even though we had to go to Storm Lake for therapy, I had to go to the dreaded Walmart while he was at the torture chamber, his name for therapy, to get dog and cat food, some milk, and got a new bra, was down to 2 and with the heat and sweating, every time I turned around I was having to hand wash one for the next day, and hope they got dry before morning. Got home and had to unload all those 44# bags, Larry did help carry in the light bag, with the help of his cane, but there is no way he can handle the heavy stuff, that I have to do now. And therapy really tires him out, and really makes his back hurt, so have to be careful what he carries. I feel that today is going to be a lazy day, and I am going to take advantage of it. I can't see anything that can't wait until another day, I have decided that I need to lighten up a little and not run around like a chicken with it,s head cut off, there is another day, and if not, who's going to see it anyway. Maybe I'll just help Larry figure out how it get that extra step on that John Deere tractor, if that helps him be safer then that is what we will do, and besides I love doing projects with him.
Well, Larry has gone into town, for the second time this morning to see his crony's at the welding shop. He really enjoy the freedom of being able to drive into our little town, it is only about 2 miles, and he really didn't need a Dr. approval, it is PT that was in charge of his driving, and they said it was fine as long as he didn't over do it, and I don't think that 2 miles is going to tire him out. I can't see him driving a couple of hours but for 5 minutes he can handle. I think he feels more independent, and more like the man he always has been, but I still am not use to the 45# weight lose, and the fact that I have to open those jar lids now.
Going to let you go, and you all have a GET weekend, and don't forget about some ME time in there. Linda
