Day 2 recap and day 3 frown

Well, well, well, here we are at the start of day 3 and I will post pics of my meals yesterday, (except breakfast, because it is exactly the same)

What is the day 3 frown about you ask?

Hubby and I both put ON a pound! huh?
I put on 1.8 lbs. Huh?

Weird.

Yesterday's breakfast was the same as day 1

Then we had a smoothie later on


I have a sick little (ok, not so little anymore) boy at home today from school.

I am not logging my weight evey day, that would just be depressing, so I am doing it once a week.

Talk me off the ledge peeps, I put on 1.8 lbs? Huh?

Weird.

    Remember to compare apples to apples, meaning always weigh yourself the same way so that "influences" aren't clouding the picture. For instance I weigh my self every night before bed and also first thing in the morning before drinking or eating. Did you know that your weight will fluctuate as much as two pounds every night? Then if you pay attention to what you've been eating you will start to see which things really stall your progress. For me doing this has also taken the scare factor out of weighing my self, it becomes working knowledge instead. An indicator of what specific foods do to your body. Of course I could improve this by writing it down, but for some reason I get really bored/ annoyed with doing this and it will only last a short while, so for now I just mentally track it.

    Oh no! Your body may be adjusting to different foods and needs a few days to settle down. Still it is soo discouraging to gain when you think you are being "good". You know what works and doesn't work for you, so stick with it and go by weekly numbers to get a better idea of what is going on. Hormones, humidity, stress (having a sick child..) can all add up.
    Try a different breakfast maybe (I am not a fan of boxed cereal..) and when you track your food see how your ratios of carb/fat/protein stack up.

    I am up half a pound from Monday morning but I know what did it and for me it was worth it - now go easy for a few days to get it off again.

    I can identify the apples and eggs, but what is the brown food you had for lunch?
    Weight fluctuates for many different reasons. Keep up the good eating program and the 1.8 lbs. will be gone soon.
