6/7/17 – Day 25
25. Is there any form of fitness/exercise that you tried and gave up? Is there any form of fitness/exercise that you would like to try?
I tried yoga and Tai Chi and gave up because the person leading the classes billed it as beginners, while in actuality it had other teachers and very advanced students in the class and the leader was “trying” to accommodate all levels and in my case, not succeeding. I tried a local Gentle Exercise for All Ages (read Seniors) and was bored out of my mind. It was more like the “finger” exercises. I tried and enjoyed Pilates, but had to drop that because of a family crisis. I need to start again. I like to kayak in good weather and will continue to do that, but it is getting harder for me to lift the kayak off the rack and into the water. I need to work on upper arm strength. I use to love swimming, but again, only in warm weather and fighting to get space and time for all the kids. It is a small community pool and pretty busy.
But, since getting my dog last July, I now walk 3 to 5 miles every day. That is new and very good for us both.
