Munchie and I took a hike
Sunday, June 04, 2017
It wasn't a long hike, but it was fun. I really should have left earlier then I did. We got to the hills about 10:30, and it was very warm already. Right when we got out of the car I noticed one of my favorite plants was in bloom. I can't remember the name of the plant, nor could I find it on line, but it is beautiful. They are scattered all over the area.
We were walking up the hill, and I looked back at Elizabeth Lake Rd.
Buckwheat were blooming.
Mustard Plants are all over the hills as well.
I took a few more pics here and there.
At this point I decided to head back down the trail.
I got back into the car, and took a pic through the windshield. This is where we started from.
Around 6 pm, I took my camera and sat in our lawn chair, and watched the birds. They are so funny. The fly from our Elm Tree, that's in the very back of our yard, and land in our Silk Tree (Mimosa) that is by the back of our house. They would sit on branches, have a chat with each other, and preen themselves. Some hope through the chicken wire, and help themselves to the Duck food lol. Ducks do not seem bothered though.
More Sunflowers have bloomed!
That was our day. Hope you enjoyed!
