20. What are your favorite healthy foods? What healthy foods have you 'discovered' along the way to better eating habits?

I love the cruciferous vegetables (Brussels sprouts, broccoli, kale, etc.) I love my veggies. I have always been a "foodie" and interested in the cutting edge of food and cooking. My bedside table books for reading are cookbooks (Larousse's Gastronomique, The Culinary Institute's The Professional Chef, Peterson's Glorious French Food, etc.). I experimented years ago with the lesser known grains like millet, Winter wheat berries, Red rye, etc. You know, your typical "foodie". I admit to being a “tomatoholic”. Anything tomato. And cheeses!

    I'm a foodie too. It makes healthy eating interesting. Just a few ingredient changes make my old favorite foods healthy and taste as good as or better than the originals.

    Tis the season for tomatoholics coming up! Nothing better than a garden grown tomato picked warm from the sun and fresh off the vine. Delish. Most of what I pick doesn't even make it into the house! emoticon
