New month, new goals

My goal for May was 60 active minutes per day and 10,000 steps per day. While my monthly average was 63 minutes per day, I did have 10 days where I did not meet that goal. Keeping goal for June and going to do more planning for days that are full of commitments and days where the weather is not conducive to walks.

My step goal for May was 10,000 per day. I did not meet this goal on 6 days (one was broken fitbit and on another day I forgot to pull it off of the charger and put it on). Average per day over the month was 11,847 - a 38% increase in steps over last month. Keeping goal for June and - again - committing to better planning and anticipation.

Daily use of SP - 100%! On a 45 day check in streak.
Daily liking/commenting on community feed - 100%.

New for June: 100% Food intake tracking.
New for June: adding walking with hand weights 3x per week.
New for June: moving my morning meditation practice to evening to allow for a quick 15 minute step machine workout before I leave for work.

The 100%/daily goals make me a little nervous because life is unpredictable. In the past I've let "failure" to meet similar goals be an excuse to stay off the wagon, for months at a time. I've decided to keep "daily" in my goals to work on that issue. Miss a day - that's ok. Back on track the next day. To build and sustain a real lifestyle change, I have to make it ok to miss (not dwelling on what an utter failure I am) and I have to build and sustain the behavior of getting right back to it. That doesn't mean a free for all on excuses and poor planning. It's a perspective of self-love, self-forgiveness and personal empowerment.

I feel ready for the new month and new goals.
