Trying to Keep Stepping

The bathroom remodel is well underway and should be completed by next week. Once it is done, I am thinking I can move up my hip surgery. I might as well get it over with. The sooner it is done, the sooner I can recuperate, the sooner I can get back on JC. Since it will probably be a few months until I can ride again, I asked my trainer to let a young girl at the barn ride him. She is a very good rider and a very sweet girl. I think JC needs someone else on him aside from his trainer. The girl was so excited. I feel like I did a good thing or a "mitzvah" as we call it.
I'm trying to keep up with my goal of 10,000 steps a day. They aren't going as fast as they were. My biggest concern with being on crutches for 4 weeks is how to keep the weight off. It took me a while to lose this 25 lbs and I don't want to start going in the wrong direction. Since my hip has gotten worse, I've pretty much been playing with the same 2 or 3 lbs. I'm not letting it upset me. I am just taking it one day at a time.
Work has been slow. On one hand, that is good because I can't do steps right now which makes it difficult to show 2 story houses. On the other hand, the income is also good.
I am kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. The only thing that really helps the pain from my shoulder, neck and hips is Alleve. However, I have ulcerative colitis and they don't like me taking it because of the effect on the stomach. They gave me tramadol which gives me a horrible headache so then I need to take the alleve for the headache. UGH! This part is frustrating.
My left hip is getting really sore from carrying the brunt of the weight (excuse the pun). One step forward...2 steps back. I guess I can only deal with what comes one day at a time.
