May Be not maybe

"APRIL is the cruelest month" is a quote from T.S. Elliot's poem The Wasteland however it seems at times that May carries that over into the early part of the month of May. The days alternate with the promise of Spring alternating with carry over vestiges of the rain and even snow of April here in the Northland.
The vagaries of the weather can cause us to change our workout resolution of May Be into a maybe. We want to transition over to more out of doors activities and workouts only to have a dismal day intrude on our resolution. We need to be flexible to prevent the "maybe" doldrums by having a fall back workout plan. I am not talking about multitasking workouts. rather I am thinking we need to have a multitask workout plan.
Take the time to create a list of workout options which you can select from as the workout of the day based on the weather for that day. Call it your Carpe Diem workout, having both indoor and outdoor workouts with a mix of resistance, cardio and active outdoors components. This will give you the options needed to conquer the weather demons and maintain your fitness program.
Have May be your opportunity to create a fitness program which keeps you on track and disavow the "maybe I will skip a workout today".
