I never fully realize how much I miss my free time until I have it again! I also forget that I miss all of the Spark aspects. Tax season is FINALLY over. This was a rough one! Right at tax day, I got really bad allergies. I am still recovering - apparently the tree pollen is really bad this year! Once I get 100% better, I need to start getting back to the gym. I am making my own dinners again, finally! We are going camping next week where I can hike and enjoy the waterfalls. Hopefully my allergies won't be too bad while I am outside!
Making my own meals has "sparked" my motivation again. I finally feel in control of my life again. During tax season, I was at work for 11-13 hours a day. My work ordered from the same pizza/italian restaurant every week night and for lunch on Saturdays. I only had Saturday night and Sunday off work and was extremely stressed. My poor husband was surviving off of frozen pot pies, salami sandwiches and eggs while I was working late! He is very happy I can make dinner every night now - REAL FOOD :)
My cousin's wedding is early June, and I would like to lose a few pounds if possible to feel better in my dress. It is very hard to maintain my weight when I don't have time to exercise and don't get enough veggies in my life. There were only so many nights I could have the same salad! I am excited to go to the produce store today to get some fresh vegetables in my diet again!
Whenever I stop working out, I can definitely tell my energy levels drop. Working out does make my body physically tired for a while, but I have more mental and physical energy later. This year I would like to do more house projects inside and outside. We already did a few, and I feel great about this decision! I am pretty happy with my life and having my nights and full 2 days off make me feel wonderful (even though my allergies are still bothering me a bit).
I am thinking about signing up for a 5k, but I definitely have to train for it. There are a lot of things I would like to do soon!
Life is good and I need to keep focusing on the good things in life. My Mom had lymphoma in 2016, but she is in remission now. She had two lymph nodes flare up last month, but they were tested and removed and are non-cancerous. Even though she went through chemo treatments and was very weak physically, she is still the strongest, most optimistic person I know. Her high spirits definitely helped her beat her cancer so far. I try to follow in her footsteps to be a caring, motivated person!
I hope everyone has a great spring. I love the blooming trees and flowers even though the pollen is terrible. The new life is refreshing to me. Keep moving forward and works towards their goals. Everyone works at a different pace and we all have different wants and goals whether they be in health, work, or other aspects of our lives.
