My daughter made a beautiful bride.
Her gown sparkled and her face glowed with happiness! We all had fun getting our hair and makeup done. (Bride, me, and bridesmaids.) We had a limousine pick us up after we were finished and we drove to a friend's home to dress in our finery. The photographer took pictures while we got our hair and makeup done and again after we dressed. I was blinking back tears when I put the veil on my daughter's head. It was just wonderful.
While we were primping, we had a crew of friends and family, at the venue, setting up and decorating. The wedding was at an historic mill. It was a breathtaking setting! Of course, as luck would have it, it rained buckets, so everything had to be held indoors. The setup crew did a great job. The cake was delicious and because our daughter and I are genetically similar, it was gluten free! Many of the food items served were gluten free, which gave me a yummy selection from which to chose!
Here is their cake. So pretty!
The first dance for the bride and groom.
Now our daughter and her new hubby are off on their honeymoon and my hubby and I are home trying to recover. Lucky is the bride who gets married with rain!
