Size 16 vs Size 16W

Wednesday, April 26, 2017

I am happily down into a size 16W (16 wide if you were wondering). This is a WOMENS size. My mom used to be about the same size as me, and then she got sick and her tops went from a size 18/1X to a S. Yep, got sick enough to lose her boobies. But her bottoms remained bigger because of all the fluid retention. So when I was going through her things last week, I was unable to confiscate any of her shirts, because I don't think even if I do get to my finger crossed goal of 140 that I will lose enough boobie to get into a small. Plus my shoulders are wider than hers were. I was built for pulling plows. What ya gonna do? However, I can almost fit into her size 16 pants. They are a little snug yet, but I am hopeful to the point of being positive that I will be able to fit in them comfortably by Memorial day, and then on my way out of them by Labor Day. I think at her smallest she was a size 8, and boy wouldn't it be great to be in a single digit clothing size in more than just my underpants LOL
While I was at her house, I did run across some of the bariatric protein powder that she must have gotten from my brother, so it is now mine. The stuff is actually pretty tasty, and it is giving me the protein boost I am sorely lacking on my own.
Another thing I have learned is, stay in touch with your extended family (as long as they are worth keeping in touch with). I was able to finally get in touch with my aunt today through a connection of my mom's on her facebook page. It was quite a shock for her to learn of my mom's passing in January, especially since my mom was the baby of the family. But now that I have opened up that connection, I was able to find out where her mom is buried and I can put a little bit of her with her mom. She never got the chance to meet her since she died when mom was a baby, but I have every confidence they are reunited now and that brings me joy, just as I know I will get to meet her someday as well.
And the last part of my day today was going to see my personal trainer. I haven't seen her in two weeks, and man o man did she not care one bit. We were right back where we left off and I am all the better for it. I can't move anything, but, I am still better for it LOL

With a lot of faith and a lot of "stick to it" you will get to a smaller size. This shows that you are really trying. Don't get discouraged. Just take one step at a time, stay positive on your journey, and wait for your turn to come as it will come.

A little something I have been doing lately and it is not pleasant to take and that is a tablespoon of cider vinegar each day. I have lost about 10 pounds in the last two to three weeks. Not expensive and doesn't take long to take it. Just have something handy to chase it down with. I could hardly believe it.
