I take it all back

Okay...so I don't have poison ivy after all. What I do have our hives caused by a new medication I was trying to help with my sciatic nerve pain. I now know I'm highly allergic to Trileptal. I started wheezing really bad so I went to my doctor yesterday, that's how we determined the real cause. I had suspected as much since I know I don't have poison ivy growing around my house or I would have gotten it much sooner than 20 years. Plus, my boyfriend has a sister that gets hives very easily and suffered greatly from it. He's the one that suggested I check in to it further. To say the least I know I'll never take that medicine again. Today marks my second day without it. I'm hoping to start getting better sooner. I'm going to go to work today. I still look blotchy. I still itch. I can do my work though. If it gets too bad, and too unbearable. I'll ask to go home. I'll take my medicine with me. I was told by my doc what the ER gave me for poison ivy will also help with the hives. I ended up having it over 80% of my body. The most painful though is on the bottoms of my feet. My socks and shoes only irritate it.

Well that's my story. Sorry I mislead everyone but I had two ER docs say it was poison ivy. Nothing ever got scabs though and believe me I didn't think I could scratch so much and not end up with any scabs.

I thank you all for your well wishes, concerns and prayers. You supported me when my own family did not!

Love & Hugs,, Donna

Just for kicks ~
