What's different this time?

I think figuring out what's different this time is key for me to stick with things this time. My plan and goals need to be meaningful and sustainable. I usually jump in too far, too fast and expect to make and keep sweeping changes. And then can't sustain because they're just not realistic.

Since November I've been focusing on moving more. Ups and downs, of course, but I'm still moving forward and haven't given up. Ready to add tracking food - not worrying so much about calorie count or portion size as much as building the habit of tracking.

This time - I'm being realistic. This time I'm remembering how my low fitness level is causing body mechanical issues and rising blood pressure/cholesterol levels. And - most importantly - how it is interfering with things I want to do/how I want to live my life.

I want to be around for grandchildren and healthy enough to play with them, take them places. I want an active life with active travel. OMG I'm too young for "everybody look left, everybody look right" bus tours. we go again. It's ok. Starting over is better than not starting at all.
