The 1st day was the hardest!

The first day was the hardest. I thought if I broke it off in 10 minutes on the treadmill it would be easier. NOT! But I'm still alive and I don't hurt.
Today I did 20 minutes because I went grocery shopping and by the time I got home it was about 1. So far I have eaten 1/2 portions but I did eat 1/2 of a large muffin. Which probably counts as 2 muffins. Anyways I am trying to eat healthy also. I don't like low fat or non fat food . I guess if I ate it I would not eat so much..lol
Now Easter going to be a challenge! I did buy some Easter candy for my granddaughter(which lives with us) and my husband. I hope I can eat just half..lol
Thanks everyone for their support. It means alot to me and it keeps me going.

    I'd rather have a little of the good stuff - do you realize I actually put (gasp!) Butter!!!! on my bread in the a.m.

    To make me feel okay about it I use a 1/2 teaspoon measuring spoon to dole it out - but oh my - that real butter flavor is sooooooooo worth it.

    I've found using a smaller plate which will be filled up by the time you put the correct proportion of each food helps me a lot.

    The 1/2 portions doesn't work for very long. Sounds good at first! I think its better to eat healthier. I've never pigged out on healthy food but we are all human...lol emoticon

    I don't eat low fat or non fat food as they usually just add more sugar. Eating half is a great idea though I don't eat muffins. Good job!

    You are off to a great start! I agree with Rainydaydance.. eat real food in smaller portions. The chemicals and additives in low fat/low sugar "foods" make you crave even more, so you might as well go for the real thing and be satisfied with a little. Not to mention what those additives do to your body, that is stuff that is never meant to be ingested!

    Yeah, you made it through day 2! That's great! I'm going to work at eating the healthy veggies and stick to having one piece of pie for Easter. We don't have candy but my husband bought caramel popcorn for our grandson. I'm trying not to even consider eating that because I'm not sure I could stop at one serving.

    Don't worry about low fat foods, low fat usually equals high sugar. They have to make it taste good somehow! I'm a firm believer in eating the full fat version of whatever you want, but being mindful of portion sizes.
