I spoke too soon

Yesterday, I was all in a lather because I had been at 159.5 for over a week, while doing all the right stuff. No cheating for me. So, I got online and got some support from my Spark friends and read some articles about plateaus and realized this was not permanent. I continued doing what I was doing. I was also watching The Biggest Loser last night and Bob, the trainer, said you can NOT lose weight if you don't eat. Of course, he meant eating the right foods, but it made sense to me that my body is not going to use up something it needs if it thinks it might not get anymore. My little body is so selfish!! So, when I am hungry, which some days is all day long, I need to eat. I am trying to listen to make sure I really am hungry and not just bored. I try drinking yet another glass of water or chew gum. If my stomach is still rumbling, a little shot of protein (peanut butter, almonds, or something similar) usually satifises me for a lot longer and can get me through it. Oh well, complaining and venting is good for the soul sometimes.
