Day 32 of 100 Days of Gratitude

Friday, April 07, 2017

DH & I met friends at the LA Japanese-American Museum which offers a tremendous exhibit about the discrimination, internment and ultimate sacrifices of loyal, American citizens during WW II.

I am grateful for these brave families and their dedication to protecting our country in spite of how we punished them when they'd done absolutely nothing wrong. My friends and I were struck numb with the similarities to some attitudes today. I am grateful for advocates of open, honest education so we don't repeat horrific mistakes.
