Nothing is holding me back

Yesterday just before I started my exercise plan my thighs felt a little tight. I did a quick warm up and then got to work. I was only a few counts in when I felt just how tight they were. I moved on to other exercises, not involving my legs, to give them a rest. I finished with some cardio and then crashed.
I was on the couch resting and then when I got up there was so much pain. Felt like knives in my thighs. They only hurt when I go to get up or down or go to squat down. I stretch out the muscles throughout the day so I hope that helps.
Today, not sure when since Im babysitting all day and over night, Im going to look through my exercises and do the ones that dont involve using my thighs (the rectus remoris muscle). Im also going to try some yoga and have the 3.. well she'll me 4 on Monday, do some moves with me.
