Learning about viruses
Monday, March 27, 2017
Today my microbiology teacher starts class off with the statement that viruses are almost always pathogenic. No, they're always pathogenic. Also, they're not technically alive. She said that a group is sending some stuff into space to try and catch a virus(like a hepa filter does). I get that they must want to prove that viruses come from space and therefore life could have, but how smart is it to go try to catch a strange space virus and bring it to Earth? What if the capsule crashes on the way down to Earth? Viruses are pretty darn hardy. Lots of them spread in the air.
This is what I learned today from a 3 hour lecture.
It's been an awesome "rest" day! I know it's raining, but I don't mind. It just means I get to use my cute polka dot umbrella. I say "rest" because I don't think 3.5 hours of class and 8 hours of work(plus lunch) counts as really resting. But I didn't work out so it must be a rest day.
