Day 27 of 100 Days of Gratitude

Thursday, March 23, 2017

I feel grateful for so many things today.
Here's just one:
When I returned home from a windy, tough bike ride, there was a note on my rented condo door. It was a thank you note from a postal clerk (whom I barely know) who thanked me for clipping out and giving her a news article about HER helpful attitude on her job.

She works hard, deals with the public daily (which can be exhausting) and faces life struggles. Yet she took the time to write and deliver a thank you note....not an email...but a sweet note. It surprised me and thrilled me to pieces! Now that's what I call "great" --human interaction!

There is nothing more wonderful than a lovely handwritten note from the heart! You are so very lucky to get one. They seem rare as hen's teeth!

What a sweet thing to do, both you giving her the article and she delivering a thank you note.

I think that people like to receive a hand written note. I send a lot of emails, but it's the old snail mail that makes me feel like I really did something special. I have a running list of people to write to. Often someone comes to mind and I put them on my list.
