Slowly getting back to normal

Wednesday, March 22, 2017

Sorry I've been MIA for a bit....we've moved and been busy, busy, busy. Yes, it's very exciting but oh so much work. We received our occupancy from the county on Thursday, March 9th and our appraisal was scheduled for the next morning. That same day the appraiser informed me that we needed to be completely moved out of our shouse (shop with living quarters) and into our new house before the appraisal. Also, the shop had to look like a shop and not like anyone could ever live there again. We had already extended the rate lock on our loan twice, which cost us lots of money, so I didn't want to extend any more and have to pay additional. So, to make a long story short, we spent Thursday afternoon and all day Friday cleaning the new house (construction is so messy!); Saturday - Sunday moving and Monday was spent trying to get the shop looking like storage rather than living space. We literally wore ourselves out trying to get it all done in four-and-a-half days. Hubby and I both ended up with colds which I'm sure were caused from lack of sleep and letting ourselves get so run down.

Anyway, life is almost back to normal now even though we still have lots to do. I'm trying my best to only move stuff that we need and getting rid of lots of unnecessary items. Our goal is to keep a tidy house and not get behind like we did while we were living in the shouse. My excuse was that we had no space left but we all know that is only an excuse and not a good reason.

I started back to morning exercise this morning and thought it wouldn't be bad since I had worked out muscles that I don't normally work in the cleaning and moving ordeal...but no; it was tough! I'm not quitting and know that it will get easier.

On a good note, I've lost almost 6 pounds! I haven't been eating as much and I'm really trying to be conscience of what I eat. Not eliminating anything but just making sure that I really want or need it before putting it in my mouth. Plus, if I;m full, I stop. That's a big one for me because I've always struggled with this little voice that tells me to clean my plate. I just keep reminding myself that it's better in the trash than on my hips!

Have a great day everyone!
