Day 26 of 100 Days of Gratitude

Tuesday, March 21, 2017

Well, I have't had a day like today since ....the beginning of January. January was crammed getting everything done before leaving home for a while. During the last 4 weeks, I've been working really hard to lose weight (11#). I'm eating as healthy as possible when away from home, riding a bike as vigorously as I can and/or striving to walk 7,500 to 10,000 steps per day. And also working hard emotionally in volunteer tasks.

Today it rained all day. I just didn't fight it. I stayed indoors and accomplished some tasks I've been avoiding, tried to nap, but couldn't. DH was occupied elsewhere during the day & is gone tonight. This reduces interaction with others 100% and I think I really, really needed a day "OFF".

I'm trying not to feel guilty, but I think my body and mind needed a break. I'm so grateful that my life allows for this after decades of high demands. I'm aware that I'm very fortunate.

No need to feel guilty, we all need to "unplug" now and then to get all charged up and rearing to go again.
