The End is very Near

Ted is in his last stages of the death process. He is reliving all his technical life, and it is heartbreaking and amazing the things he is “making”. He is walking through his life, sometimes with frustration because “those idiots don’t know how to do this, and they keep f**king it up”. He is also recounting obvious days of his youth. (Leighton, I am finding out about some very interesting escapades you two have done, so be nice to me and I won’t report it!).
All medications other than comfort meds have been stopped.
Hospice is with us, and this morning they are delivering a hospital bed at 11.
last night he fell down the stairs, and got a few bruises and scrapes. Thus, the bed.
I am so glad daughter Cindy is here. Grandson Gabe and family have been here and said their good byes.
If you feel the need to see him one more time, please call ahead of time. Please know that your visitation cannot be too long, and he may not regain consciousness while you are here.
I understand if you have a need to say “good bye” to this wonderful man, and I will try to be as gracious as possible.
I am going through great sorrow, but must keep busy and send him off in the most gentle kind way possible when it is his time.
