Prayer and Praise update...

Sunday, March 19, 2017

A GREAT BIG THANK YOU to all our prayer warriors. We still need them coming but we are seeing great things happen around us.

After a few weeks getting the bugs worked out, things are finally starting to settle down some at work. Praise GOD that the panic that flowed from those around me has started to calm as well. Audits happen when they happen and if you do your job well and right then you shouldn't need to worry. Being that this is an annual internal audit, I've always wondered why they freak out.... I'd understand a little freak if it was an unexpected/unannounced SEC or state audit, but when you know what's coming and what they may look for -- I JUST DON'T GET IT. As for the renovations -- they will still happen but as with many items that are taken away from local business and put in the hand of big corporations.... time will tell when that will happen. Last I heard they were still taking bids -- again.

Our housing situation has been clarified. Landlord is looking to sell the property but the prospects that scared everyone, when this all started, decided they really didn't want the place, so its now a new listing -- really! the signs in our front yard =) This may cause a few more inconveniences in respect to open houses and inspections, but we worked them out this last time around and I'm sure we can do it again. I just don't like leaving my key out for someone to walk in willy-nilly like when I'm not around. Our current landlord is hoping to make enough from a sale to pay his DDs way through college and purchase another property, preferably a duplex, and give BFF, DH and I first dibs on the place. I'm not holding my breath for could be's, well just keep taking each day as it comes and go with that =) I'm in no hurry to move and we need to take price and location into consideration before we decide on anything.

I hate to see people all worked up over things that are rumored or out of their control. Why borrow trouble when each day may come with its own which you will need to work through. =} Knowing that GOD is in control has saved DH and I many a nights sleep and kept us from those nasty medically related stress issues. I'm thankful that I can trust GOD to lead us where we need to go and tell us when we need to get packing for the trip.

DH's dental problem got resolved too. He's still quite tender in the mouth, but he actually tried to eat something sturdier then ramen yesterday. The clinic was nice enough to bill us instead of expecting all the cash upfront and they will let us spread it over the course of 2 or 3 months -- we'll know for sure once insurance clears and the balance is confirmed.

I'm still staying on track with diet and exercise. Not loosing very much but at least I'm not gaining anymore =} PLT for that. He's actually helped me be more focused of my eating through all this, Even when temptations have been put in my path, I've done well to limit them or avoid them all together. As for exercise, I've stayed with my minimums but haven't really been about to get out and about for much more than that. Maybe I can work more on that this week.

Please keep the prayers coming. Although DH and I are doing well through all this, we want to see everyone rise above the circumstances and shine for HIS glory -- maybe even win a few over to His side if need be. =)

You know I will continue to pray. I got the best devotional book called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young! In one of the devotions for March between the 16th and the 19th it talks about not letting fears and troubles get to you! It is the best devotional I have ever had the privilege of having as mine! I'm learning a lot from it! I'm glad that things are settling down at work and I love your way of letting God handle it all while you continue to rest well and take care of your health!
