Monitor your Eating - Beck Day 15

With the lessons of the last 14 days under my belt this would be the day I would start my diet. While I don't think of this as a diet since that implies an end date I use the term when referring to Dr. Beck's book because that is the term she uses. By definition diet is simply the foods you eat. Society tends to use the term "diet" when referring to a "low calorie diet". I refer to my food choices as a vegan diet. Regardless with my Spark journey well underway I continue on to monitor my eating. We were to keep careful track of how what we actually ate corresponded to the plan we had made the night before. This gives us the chance to positively influence our motivation and confidence and also provides us with the opportunity to assess where we can make improvements. Again I have modified this exercise to reflect my present situation. I am only planning breakfast the night before and the other two meals are being planned the day of. I was able to stay with my planned menu with the exception of the latte I had planned for mid afternoon. The coffee place had no soy and tragically I didn't know there was a Starbucks around the corner. Rather than have something I had not planned on I opted to have a hot soymilk when I got back to my sister's. This will be a good tool to use as I go on.
