Website changes

Friday, March 10, 2017

Sometimes in trying to improve things, people confuse things.
I must admit after several years on spark people and many website changes this new round of "improvements" is just too much. I am too busy to try and unravel what was simple and easy access to my friends feed, favored blogs, the fun games posts and so on. I just do not have the time or patience to find my way through this maze. I will continue to use the trackers, but feel cut off from the community aspects. Also the fact that I have had to re-do my e-mail preferences every few days when I made no changes and the e-mails just stop coming. emoticon
I know this is not a positive post but I am just frustrated.

Im so happy that you asked about Tess not weight bearing on that leg--- I thought she would now that the cast is off--but she still holds that leg up---- Hopefully she will in time-Lynda

I kindof like the "everybody" feed, but I wish it didn't take up the whole front page. I'm still not even sure where to post my daily updates without going directly to my own page. I just bookmarked the friendfeed page -- so now I don't have to flip through everything. I really like keeping tabs on "my" circle of friends on here. Hang in there.

I did join to get rid of the crazy ads.
Figured I would spend that amount on junk food if I wasn't here.
I like sparkcoach too. I don't care for the changes and hope they change them soon.

It was a surprise to me too, and not in a good way.
I'm afraid that I'm inadvertently going to lose touch with some people that I don't want to lose touch with.

I don't like it either but it is what it is. I think we have to give it a chance.

Lately all I do is update status on friend feed and try to keep in touch. On the app for convenience, and it does seem like the changes are silly. No spin anymore ? But I'm tracking to stay honest.

I feel the same way. Too bad they don't care what we think.

I also choice not to use anything here except to blog. It is such a shame that they ruined a good thing. I got rid of Spark guy long time ago, cause he is not my friend. I just want my friends, not every Tom, Dick and Harry, did figure out how to get just my friends feed, but why should I have to go through all that. It is very poor service, and they never listen, and how dare them to take away team points. What are the purpose of teams if we can't see them. Going to cancel all them if they are no longer of any value. So I am just going to use it as a blog site, and forget all the rest, it has no value anymore.

Tons of post in agreement with your sentiment. Too bad Spark People doesn't seem inclined to listen. To be fair, I did try to understand the point of the changes and I think SparkGuy had a different idea about how the new 'feature' would be used and how that could inspire and motivate members to reach their goals. Unfortunately, the way it is actually used is more like a F*B**k circus equivalent :( So sad. I am hopeful that the ton of feedback will convince the powers that be to at least make it smaller or optional for those who don't want it. Sharing your frustration.

I know, I'm a little lost with it too. I think it might take some getting used to.
