Hello!

Hi! Sorry, I don't seem to answer people often. I'm extremely forgetful and distracted.
I saw a dietician today. In addition to the normal spiel about the Healthy Plate method, she said I am doing 2 main things wrong that prevent me losing weight.
1. I'm viewing the day as a whole instead of per meal. I've been meeting my DAILY food group requirements, but each meal has not been rounded. She said if I eat only protein for one meal or only veggies, then my body still reacts as if the meal is unhealthy and I will crash. I must have a serving of each food group, with 2-3 carbs at every meal. And all three snacks must also have all of the food groups. So I'm to make trail mix, portioned out, as my snacks and keep it in my purse.
2. My exercise doesn't count toward weight loss, only toning. All the many things I'm doing during the day count toward strength or toning and not losing my weight. She said only aerobic exercise where my heart rate is raised for 10-15 min at a time will do it.
My blood numbers were borderline for sugar, bp, and cholesterol. She said it will take 3 months to see a change.
Sigh. She didn't give me any specifics, like meal plan, since the one here uses things I don't buy.
I finally got the cpap! Yay! I went from stopping breathing 31 times a night on average to less than once. I feel more like my old self again. :-D I was told this should help me not keep gaining weight, but will do nothing toward getting healthy except make me less tired.
I found a goal to make me want to stick with the whole program more. My favorite band is going on tour and if I save enough money I can possibly get to meet them at a VIP. Since I don't want to look like the smiley Poop emoji if I do meet them, I have renewed determination. Course, I also now have an IT band injury from all the squats and wall sits I was trying to do to get stronger. ;-( Soooo, trying to figure out what exercises I can do that won't make it feel like someone is ripping my leg in half and burning it simultaneously.
Hope you're all doing well! I got a part time job and have to run off to orientation now.
:-)
