Let me tell you a story....

Tuesday, February 28, 2017

Once upon a time there was a girl and she was tired all the time and then she changed her life and had energy out the wazoo!!
OK not the story I wanted to tell you but it is so true I have the most energy I have had in the longest time, and I'm not sure if because of other things that happened today or because my body has finally caught up with all my changes, but dang! Some people would think I'm on drugs!!
So I wanted to talk today about pasta and water...I told ya I am a jumble writer!
I have always preferred water to anything else as far as drinking goes, unless there is alcohol in it!! I work 12 hour shifts and take a gallon jug with me(I don't like the water where I work). I have never gotten through the whole gallon. I mean I start this thing when I wake up and I'm using it for the dog when I get home I just can't do it! Today I drank a gallon of water! Now I don't know if I need that much water but I am so proud of myself. Just saying "look at me drinkin all this water" makes me feel good. Maybe that's were this energy comes from. We'll see how things go tomorrow!!
My second story has to deal with a food I am very fond of and one not so much. For my lunches this week I made cheese tortellini(dry, don't get crazy) with chicken and spinach in a "cream" sauce. You guys I love pasta, but I'm not huge on cooked spinach unless its hidden in a sauce. This stuff is amazing! So the sauce is laughing cow cheese and greek yogurt...that's it! Mix the wilted spinach in with that and add your cooked chicken....shut your face Mary I want to eat all of it....but I didn't. I portioned out the pasta then added the serving of chicken because I'm making better choices to change my life, and I will get there! But dang if I'm not going to get there hydrated and eating great tasting food!!!
